ilovebrokenhill.com , was first published on 8 December 2011 by Jane Deany. My blog is all about the famous outback Australian National Heritage Listed City named Broken Hill, located in the state of New South Wales. I first visited #BrokenHill in 2002 and have returned many times since then. ilovebrokenhill.com will help you discover what's great about this historic mining city, where in the mid 1880's the line of lode, a rich ore body of silver, lead and zinc was found. You will find stories about anything related to Broken Hill.

It is AGL’s Broken Hill Community Day today 9 am – 3 pm

AGL is part of your community and so they invite you and your family to come and explore their unique Energy Cube at their Community Day which is on now at –


Where:           Sturt Park, Broken Hill, access from Wolfram Street

When:            9 am – 3 pm today, 15 September 2012

Cost:               Free

You will be able to discover how AGL, for the last 175 years, has helped shape Australia’s energy landscape inside their history funnels.

Activities will allow you to see how much energy your legs can power on their pedal bikes, and find out how to make your home more energy efficient in their Smarter Living Centre.

The AGL mascots, Tina and Timmy Turbine will be on hand to show your kids how to become energy savers in a fun interactive performance.
